I've been repped commercially and for VO by CESD for many many years and it's always been one of the things that's just "right" and solid about my hollywood career. They're so highly competent, professional, courteous, ethical, hardworking, dependable, likable, accessible -- everything you could want in an organization that represents you. All the the Jimmy Dean Sun years I had enormous confidence in the way CESD handled every aspect of the negotiations and ongoing logistics of that job. But they also stuck with me during leaner years, trusting in my talent and giving me the time and opportunity to succeed when I needed that kind of support.
Of course the foundation of the agency is its people, and David Ziff is one of the best. I'm so glad to see him honored, again, as Commercial Agent of the Year. Well deserved.
I had been to Iceland 20 years ago or so to work on an industrial film. I was so struck with the beauty and relative emptiness of the place at the time that I always wanted to go back, and bring my family if I could. We went this last summer. I could post a million pictures, but there's already a million beautiful pictures of Iceland out there, so instead here's a partial look at what it was like to drive around the ring road that circumnavigates the island. I won a free GoPro in a giveaway at my pet food store right before we left for Iceland, so I brought it and put it on the dashboard of the car from time to time.
Should be interesting. I decided to check out the Margie Haber Master Intensive workshop over at the Margie Haber Studio after contacting Margie on the advice on my manager. I've already read her book, How To Get the Part (Without Falling Apart), which I found quite interesting. Margie in person is a funny and genuine personality. I'm really looking forward to diving deep with this workshop and getting a fresh perspective.

Update: The Intensive was good. The ongoing classes with Margie are better than good. I have a few things I'd change in terms of logistics and organization maybe, but for pure practical insight and guidance to professional actors, I'm so impressed with her and so happy to be studying with her. I'd recommend that studio to anybody looking for a place to study acting with a focus on the practical challenges of doing rich and rewarding work within the world of film and tv auditions especially.

It's been a singular experience serving as The Sun for the last ten years. It's taken me to Mexico and New Zealand and all over America and given me the chance to meet and work with an amazing array of people over the years. Also, I regularly saw beautiful presentations of cinematically prepared sausage products.
The suit was built on my frame, surely smells like me at this point, and is currently in indefinite storage in a warehouse somewhere.
